Wales is a small country in the United Kingdom, to the west of England on the coast next to Ireland. It has a population of just over 3 million. Wales is about 200 miles long and no more than 70 miles wide. The weather is rainy and gray (a lot like Oregon!). The currency is the British pound. The lingo is English and Welsh. The capital is Cardiff in the south, but I’m living way up in the northwest corner in the rural University city of Bangor, adjacent to Snowdonia and Anglesey Island.
